Teknor APEx's Sarlink® 6700 series compounds have less fogging, can provide consumers with attractive car interiors, and can also be used in exterior parts with customized color matching

Potucket, Rhode Island, U.S., February 16, 2017: A new thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) elastomer series product, in its natural or uncolored form, has a Many advantages, can provide the appearance and tactile characteristics that are very important for car interiors, and also show excellent coloring performance when used in exterior accessories.

Unlike many standard TPVs in their natural form, Teknor Apex’s Sarlink® 6700 series compounds are very light in color, so it is easier to customize the color and does not need to be dried before processing. Moreover, they are UV stable and can meet the requirements of the automotive industry. Interior component specifications. These new TPVs have less fogging and exhibit high fluidity when producing complex parts with thin walls by injection molding. Recommended interior applications include floor mats, bucket mats, cup holder inner mats, and "soft touch" handles, knobs and buttons. When coloring with UV-stable masterbatches, Sarlink 6700 series compounds can also be used for external parts such as fairing vent seals, mirror and antenna gaskets, car light hoods, and car window trims.

The compounds in the new series can withstand aqueous solutions, exhibit good thermal stability, and are only available in natural form, with a Shore A hardness between 55 and 75. (See the physical characteristics data sheet.)

According to Jeffrey E. Dickerhoof, senior sales and marketing manager of Teknor Apex's Thermoplastic Elastomer Division, Sarlink TPV has obtained GM (GMW-15816), Ford (WSS-M2D510-A5-A7) and Chrysler (MS-AR-100) -AMV2, -BMV2 and CMV2) are approved for use in automobile manufacturing.

Mr. Dickerhoof said: "Mr. Dickerhoof said: "Sarlink 6700 series compounds have higher UV stability, and become a representative of a new generation of high-fluidity TPV Sarlink 6100 series products widely used in the global automotive industry. Unlike traditional TPV, these products are extremely light in natural form and can be customized for coloring immediately, even for light gray or light brown parts. "

Sarlink 6700 series TPVs are available worldwide.
